our history
“Mommy brain” is behind the birth of Lollipop Copy.
Lynn was a stay-at-home mom with her two young children. Without adult company around, she needed to stretch her brain beyond diapers and Disney movies. She had a strong writing background and decided to start her own freelance business. Lollipop Copy was born.
the early years
As you might expect, we started with one client, an innovative direct mail company. Through Lynn’s work with them, she met a graphic designer wizard, Liz Weaver of Paprika Creative, who became a partner and a friend.
Lynn’s work and partnerships led to other clients, and as word of mouth spread, Lollipop Copy branched out into doing more marketing writing: brochures, newsletters, and articles. Now that the juices were flowing, Lynn was ready to tackle her next big idea — a book on the very subject that was building her business: word-of mouth-marketing.
the teen years
This is where things really took off. Lynn’s book opened several doors and she began freelance writing in earnest. Newspaper articles became the bread and butter of her business, but she loved the variety that came with her work. Over the years, she continued to expand her knowledge and her services, ghostwriting blogs, writing marketing emails, crafting website content, and taking the lead on branding efforts like logos and taglines.
